The Vision

The Harmony People Network was established in 2016 with the vision of creating a strong, connected community for HR and business professionals across Southern Africa. What started as a small professional network has grown into one of the leading HR support communities in the region, with more than 2 700 members across all provinces of South Africa and a growing presence in Namibia.

Our network brings together professionals from every level of the workplace environment — from HR administrators and students to executives, consultants, business owners, and industry specialists. The purpose of the network is to create meaningful professional connections while providing members with practical support, valuable industry resources, employment opportunities, professional content, and access to current labour and workplace developments.

The Harmony People Network is built around collaboration, growth, and shared knowledge. Through daily engagement, industry discussions, networking opportunities, vacancies, training initiatives, and business collaboration, we aim to strengthen both individuals and organisations within the people management and business environment.

As the network continues to expand, our focus remains on building a trusted professional community that adds real value to the workplace, supports career growth, and contributes to the development of stronger businesses and better workplaces throughout South and Southern Africa.

Networking Events

Our live Harmony Networking event is hosted in Johannesburg annually. This is an ideal place to meet and greet fellow HR practitioners and suppliers. Many of our members have done joint ventures and benefited from the expertise shared on the groups.

WhatsApp Groups

Harmony People Network began on WhatsApp and will remain as a free networking and support platform. We encourage advice and comments and have appreciated the willingness of members to share freely with others.

The Vision

The vision is to create a dynamic content platform for members to access more easily. This will require member contributions toward content and some content management. The aim is to pool resources to create an extensive repository of articles, documents and templates for our members to benefit from.
